Primary School Easter Party
March the 19th saw English 31 host it’s first ever Easter party at the IST canteen. Nearly 50 children were welcomed to our Easter eggstravaganza!
On their arrival the children entered their names into a lucky draw to win a chocolate bunny( more on that later)
Then the fun and games started with the wonderfully artistic face painting ( lots of bunny faces) and craft tables where the children could make origami chicks and bunny egg holders. Then things moved outside for the egg hunt and a choice of eggciting activities such as a scavenge hunt which proved popular. Teams were given morse code clues which had to be decoded before receiving a new clue, there were huge shrieks of eggcitement when the final clue led to the Easter bunny himself, and every team received sweets and chocolate goodies. Then to the egg and spoon race, which proved challenging in the windy conditions trying to keep the egg on the spoon! Even some adults had a go! Which was great fun. Finally it was time to make the draw for the chocolate bunny. After a false start ( no one told head of British section you had to be present to win it) sorry Mr Albiston! A second draw was made to the delight of one very happy little boy. After a fun packed afternoon we said goodbye to lots of egghausted but happy children.
We would like to thank all the volunteers who kindly donated their time and parents who bought cakes and snacks for afternoon tea.
